The following questions are being asked of you so that the right puppy and the right placement of each puppy is made by bringing various requirements of both the puppy and his or her new owner(s) into perception, BEFORE, a choice is made. I hope you will agree that the animal’s welfare must be my foremost consideration in considering a placement. Do you understand that there is ALWAYS risk when putting a puppy under anesthesia and that the breeder and the vet cannot be held responsible if anything should happen to your puppy?

Do you know anything about how the puppy needs to be fed? Or keeping dishes up off of the floor?

Do you understand that this puppy is being sold on a limited registration and cannot be bred?

Do you agree that this puppy will be spayed or neutered before it is 24 months old if it is on a limited registration?

Do you understand and agree that your puppy’s limited registration papers will be provided to you upon written proof from your veterinarian of spay or neuter?

Do you understand the difference between a non-breeding or limited registration and a full registration?

Do you understand that if you place a deposit on a puppy it is non-refundable?

Do you understand that you will follow a proper vaccination schedule recommended by the breeder and agreed upon with your vet?

Are you aware of the yearly costs of maintaining a healthy dog? Yearly vaccines can be $40-$60. Then there is heartworm preventative (daily or monthly), flea control (pet and premises), dental care, food, accessories, as well as many other unforeseen items/circumstances (such as an accident or illness).  Are you prepared to meet theses requirements?

Activity indoors: Some dogs are lively and curious in the house, they like to play with you and follow you around. Some dogs lie down most of the time. Do you think an active dog would annoy you?

Children: A child should not be placed beyond its level of competence and reliability with any pet. How much responsibility will your child be given in the care and management of the dog?

We don't discriminate against families with small children as we have 2 ourselves;but we do want to make new owners aware of the fact that a large great Dane puppy may accidentally knock over a small child and hurt them not meaning to. We just like our new homes to be very watchful & try to  prevent these types of situations at all cost.

Leadership: Breeds vary in how much leadership they require. Some dogs are natural leaders, they’re bold or stubborn, they’ll take advantage of any mistake you make or any indulgence, and you really have to work hard to convince them that you’re the boss. Would you feel comfortable in the leader role, if need be?

With visitors: How would you like your dog to behave?

Do you want him to be friendly or aloof?

Some breeds are not very outgoing and they prefer to come over to people gradually or sometimes not at all. Would you be embarrassed if he refused to come over to someone who wanted to pet him?

Do you understand that if you any reason you need to find a home for the puppy that is has to be returned to Silver Sage Danes, Sam and Jenny Fife, at your expense and we will be responsible for find it a home?

Do you understand and agree that if I am not notified that this dog has been sold or re-homed you will  face a penalty of at least $1000.00 and the dog will be taken back by Silver Sage Danes, Sam and Jenny Fife or an authorized agent and no money shall be returned to you or anyone else involved?

Do you understand that if you have a puppy paid for in full and for some reason cannon take you puppy that your money will go towards a puppy in a future litter of our choice?

Do you agree to all of our terms in the placement of this puppy?

And last but not least, do you promise to send pictures and stay in contact with Silver Sage Danes, Sam and Jenny Fife on your puppy?
