Eagle Pack Holistic Select
& Blackwood Premier Nutrition
We feed only the best, Eagle Pack Holistic Select and Blackwood Premier Nurtition,
in order to get the best in overall health and nutrition for our Danes. We have
searched many years and have tried many different brands of dog foods and we
finally found the one that met all of our needs and requirements. Eagle Pack
Holistic Select is family-owned and founded in the 1980's. They have specialized
this formula for large & giant breeds in mind. Their ingredients, meat meals, fruits,
and vegetables are sourced from human-grade suppliers. It contains no corn or
soy. Their chicken meal is passed by the USDA and hormone-free. Their formula
has L-Carnitine for heart and structural muscle mass and Taurine for a healthy
heart. They add 4 diffrerent antioxidants to boost the immune system, slow cell
degeneration and ward off diseases. Also added is Prebiotics, Probitiotics, Digestive
Enzymes, SQM vitamins and minerals and kelp. Also added to their puppy formula,
DHA for superior brain and vision development. Glucosamine is also added for
healthy joints. It is preserved naturally.
Blackwood has a unique slow cook process which improves the nutritional
availability of proteins and carbohydrates and eliminates heat damage to the
vitamins and minerals. This increases digestibility and lessens the workload on the
digestive system, which lowers stool volume. Sea salt is added for its trace
minerals and distinctive Proteinate minerals which are absorbed directly into the
bloodstream by 100%. Selected proteinates at specific levels have been shown to the
reproductive potential in dogs and possibly the amount of pups born in the litter.
Probiotics are added to increase digestibility, enhance the immune system, and to
help eliminate vomiting, diarrhea, and digestive flatulence. They also include
elevated levels of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, which keep the skin and coat
in super condition, as well with summer hot spots and other skin problems. Garlic
and brewers yeast are added for additional coat and skin conditioning. Garlic is
said to be excellent for the cardiovascular system and can act as a minor flea
repellent. Yucca extract is added for lowering urine and stool odor and as a breath
freshener. They never add any soy or wheat products, chemical preservatives,
artificial colors, flavors, or fillers or by-products meals.
